Glorifying Christ: The Purpose of Our Lives

As Christians we ought to praise God more than we do. We ought to bring more of the brightness of His love into our lives.

"Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee." Psalm 67:3.

55 SDA Bible Commentary 3:1148.

The Lord is not pleased to have His people a band of mourners. He wants them to repent of their sins, that they may enjoy the liberty of the sons of God. Then they will be filled with the praises of God, and will be a blessing to others.

“That he,” Christ Jesus, “might be glorified.” Isaiah 61:3.

O that this might be the purpose of our lives! Then we should have regard even to the expression of our countenance, to our words, and even to the tone of our voice when we speak.

56 SDA Bible Commentary 4:1153-1154.
