Proud and Haughty Men and God's People

"At that time shall arise Michael, the great prince who has charge of your people. And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never has been since there was a nation till that time. But at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone whose name shall be found written in the book." Daniel 12:1

For the day of the Lord of hosts Shall come upon everything proud and lofty,

Upon everything lifted up— And it shall be brought low—

Upon all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up,

Upon all the oaks of Bashan

Upon all the high mountains

Upon all the hills that are lifted up

Upon every high tower

Upon every fortified wall

Upon all the ships of Tarshish

Upon all the beautiful sloops.

The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, And the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; The Lord alone will be exalted in that day,
